Wittenberg University – Visiting Assistant Professor of Communication

Job Description:

The Department of Communication at Wittenberg University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in the area of media studies, to begin August, 2016.  The visiting faculty member will teach three courses each semester, including a combination of media-related courses (Media Literacy and an upper-level seminar of their choice), as well as courses that support General Education and the major (e.g., Public Speaking, Introduction to Communication Theory).  There may be opportunities to work with students in our award-winning Integrated Media Corps internship as well.  The Department of communication values collaboration and features courses in media studies, interpersonal communication, and rhetoric.

Requirements:

A Ph.D. in Communication or Media is preferred; ABD considered.  Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in new media and communication technologies.  Candidates must demonstrate an interest in exemplary undergraduate teaching.
