Ohio Communication Association

We are now accepting proposals for the 82st annual conference on October 5 and 6 at University of Akron Wayne College. The theme for this year’s conference is “Leveraging the Strengths of our Discipline: Teaching, Scholarship, and Service.” The theme was selected to represent the evolution of OCA as an organization.

Communication professionals, faculty, administrators, undergraduate, and graduate students are invited to attend the conference and are encouraged to submit proposals. The conference planning committee would like to showcase creative and valuable ideas in our G.I.F.T.S. (Great Ideas for Teaching Students) sessions, research presentations, posters sessions, themed panel discussions/presentations, and hands-on workshops and short courses. Cross institutional collaboration is strongly encouraged.

We anticipate featuring innovative and original research and teaching ideas exemplifying the best Ohio and our neighboring states offer. To read the full call for submissions and to submit, see our website.
