GIFTS Submissions have been extended until September 1, 2018!

Great Ideas for Teaching Students (G.I.F.T.S.) are activities, assignments, projects, games, simulations, and/or assessment techniques which have been tested in the classroom. We encourage submissions that address a specific communication theory, skill, or learning objective for both traditional and non-traditional classrooms. G.I.F.T.S. that relate to the convention theme, “Leveraging the Strengths of our Discipline: Teaching, Scholarship, and Service,” are encouraged.

  • Please enter the submission title written for the conference program
  • Please include a 150-word summary/description written for conference program
  • Please confirm that you are submitting a Great Ideas For Teaching Students roundtable presentation.
  • Accepted file types: doc, docx, pdf.
  • In submitting the attached proposal, I/we recognize that this submission is considered a professional responsibility. I/We agree to represent this submission if it is accepted and programmed. I/We further recognize that all who attend and present at OCA’s annual conference must register and pay required fees.
