James Jarc (Ed.D., Creighton University; M.A. Gonzaga University) is currently an Assistant Professor of Digital Media Design at Central Ohio Technical College. He has previously taught at Capital University, Hondros College of Nursing, and online through Southern New Hampshire University’s school of online and continuing education. James is a doctoral candidate in Interdisciplinary Leadership through Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska. His current research focuses on pedagogy in career and technical educational settings. Other research and writing covers media ecology, technology in education, and the intersections of communication, leadership, and society. He has published on the topics of subversive leadership, net neutrality, media ecology, and educational technology. Prior to his work in education, James was a communication practitioner, providing graphic design, web development, media strategy, and business consulting services to small business and nonprofit clients all across the country. He currently resides in Newark, OH.
The Communication Coordinator is a position that is appointed by the Executive Committee, and serves a two year term. James was appointed in 2018.
