Laura Russell (Ohio University) is an associate professor of Communication at Denison University. Drawn to issues concerning individual and collective well-being, she centers her research on understanding the communication of personal and relational health. Her current work examines how virtues, such as gratitude and forgiveness, play prominent roles in the ways people construct meaning for living in recovery. Paralleling these interests, her teaching encompasses courses regarding ethics, narrative, health, and auto/ethnographic practices. The Associate Journal Editor is a position that is appointed by the Executive Committee, serves for a period of two years, and then advances to the position of Journal Editor.
